A new edition to our instrumental days programme, the inaugural Guitar Open Day took place in March 2016 and was a great success. A full day event, students join us from 10am to 5pm to make music as part of a large guitar ensemble, learning repertoire in many different styles. As well as classical music, students will get to grip with rock and pop styles, learning chords and improvisation, alongside reading from the stave. Students also take part in a variety of practically based activities, which help improve aural, technical, musical and theoretical skills.
Our Guitar Open Day is suitable for guitarists of ABRSM Grade 1 standard and above. Students are divided into groups by age and ability, to ensure that the materials and activities on the day are suitably challenging and enjoyable. Participation costs AED300, which includes all musical resources.

The Centre for Musical Arts (CMA) was established in 2006 and provides high quality musical experiences to the young and the young at heart. Their vast offerings of music lessons and affiliated programmes have attracted an ever-growing number of students in central Dubai and surrounding areas. By investing into its facilities, CMA has also been able to attract some of the world’s finest music instructors who were keen on imparting their skills to the community in a world-class environment.
Classes include individual and group instrumental lessons, ensembles, choirs, summer courses and the ‘CMA Experience’.
The CMA Experience includes wind ensembles, string groups, guitar groups, theory classes and band sessions.
Instruments taught include: Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Bassoon, Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Tuba, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Classical Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Rock Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano, Voice and Drums.
As well as lessons within CMA, Affiliated Schools in Dubai use CMA as their main port of call for instrumental lessons within school hours – this encompasses private tuition, small group teaching, and small to large ensembles. ...
