Students get an in-depth look into the Visual Effects industry. Students learn about cameras and principal photography needed for VFX, Match-moving using the Pixel Farm’s PF Track, Rotoscoping (within a variety of environments such as Aftereffects, Fusion , Nuke, Paint and Clean-up), Digital Compositing using Fusion and Nuke, Matte painting development and Camera projection. Additional assignments and activities make for an exciting learning experience!
In this unique Visual Effects oriented career track, students get to learn about the Visual Effects industry in – depth. Thereafter, students learn about cameras and principal photography needed for VFX, Match-moving using the Pixel Farm’s PF Track, Rotoscoping,
within a variety of environments such as Aftereffects, Fusion , Nuke, Paint and Clean-up, Digital compositing using Fusion and Nuke, Matte painting development and Camera projection. Top everything with assignments, activities and more.
Objective:
- Gain advanced skills in using the Compositing and Visual effects software’s.
- Experience with a variety of output sources and materials
- Comfort with using 3D Compositing software’s, Rotoscopy, Match moving, Matte painting.
- Ability to develop an individual portfolio of Compositing and 2D Visual Effects.
Outline
The following software tools will be covered in this course.
- Adobe Photoshop – Photoshop is a graphics editor which is extremely useful to learn in order to create and edit images. The Adobe Photoshop family will give you everything you need to make the best digital images. Images can be transformed into anything your imagination conjures up. It provides a base for future animation courses and other softwares. Using Photoshop you will be able to create and edit movie clips. This will get you started in the road to learning animation.
- Adobe Premiere – Adobe Premiere is a timeline-based video editing software application. It teaches you to do video editing, graphic design, and web development programs.
- Adobe After Effects – Adobe After Effects will teach you to create motion graphics and visual effects. After Effects allows users to create animation and alter media in 2D and 3D space with different built-in tools and third party plug-ins.
- Eyeon Fusion – is an image compositing software program created by eyeon. It is used to create visual effects and digital compositing for movies, TV-series and commercials.
- Foundry Nuke– Fast, powerful, industry standard compositing. It is used for used for film and television post-production.
