In our private lessons for kids, we will explore the joy of Hula Hooping: channelling self-expression into creative play.

Contact us about hoop lessons for kids where we will teach rolling, tossing, spinning, and in and out of circle, while the second half will be dedicated to dancing and on-body and off-body hooping. Basically, the entire set of skills needed for a fantastic time of play and movement that also happens to be a perfect way for your children to improve their gross motor skills, to enhance their body control and dexterity, and to strengthen their core, while feeding their creative impulses and empowering their sense of self-expression in a self-improvised choreography at the end of each class.

No previous hooping experience required. Hoopers of all levels are welcome. Multi-level instruction will be given to returning students. Hoops are available for use and purchase.

Poi refers to both a performing art and the prop used in it. Commonly used in circus performances too, poi is a pair of equal length ropes weighted at the ends with different materials. With its roots in ancient Maori culture, poi dance involves the swinging and spinning of the equipment in rhythmical patterns. With benefits similar to hooping, poi dance is an energetic and playful activity that improves flexibility, strength, balance, and coordination.  ...
