COURSE DESCRIPTION

The program is designed to prepare students for employment in variety of health care settings as - an entry level coder, medical record coder, coding technician, coding clerk, or medical coder/biller (Medical Records and Health Information Technician). Students learn to identify sections and follow the standard guidelines to locate information in the CPT and ICD-10 Coding books for the purpose of completing patient/billing records. This is why the coders have now raised to a great importance especially in medical field in UAE

WHY MEDICAL CODING?

The health authority of UAE (HAAD) has given clear guidelines for the necessity of Medical coders working in Abu Dhabi/ Dubai hospitals. The HAAD guidelines have stated that Medical Coders working in Abu Dhabi/Dubai need certification/credentials to work as Medical coders.
