Bespoke contracts - are becoming more and more prevalent within the UAE's construction landscape. Notwithstanding, the two busiest construction regions within the UAE are underpinned with compliance to FIDIC rules and standards. It is therefore only by mastering the claim's process under FIDIC, that the Contractor, Subcontractor can successfully pursue financial or time bar reliefs when clients or owners overstep their authorities (per FIDIC) or cause situations demanding fairness.

Both the Dubai and the Abu Dhabi Municipalities hold FIDIC as their bedrock standard regarding contracting rules. It is therefore imperative that all Contractor's and Subcontractor's operating in these regions, regardless of whether or not they hold bespoke contracts, understand the full power and weight behind the FIDIC solutions to various scenarios providing Claim and dispute's relief.
