Business process management (BPM) is a systematic approach to making an organization’s workflow more effective, more efficient and more capable of adapting to an ever-changing environment. This means decreased cost, improved resource management, revenue gains and growth for public companies, as well as increased efficiency for government agencies. A business process is an activity or set of activities that will accomplish a specific organizational goal. BPM is a three-day course to teach, enable and guide delegates through the Business Process Improvement (BPM) lifecycle. BPM is a fundamental deployment strategy to augment current or future Continuous Improvement (CI) plans to optimize results. This course begins with an overview of Business Process Management (BPM) and then an introduction to industry-standard Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) and basic modeling techniques. The delegates will then use the newly acquired knowledge to complete in class examples and simulations to demonstrate real world problems that will be solved in the classroom. Lean, Six Sigma (LSS) and other BPM improvement principles, practices and tools will also be featured during the training. The final day of the course will conclude with a detailed case study that follows the BPM lifecycle of a simulated work environment that requires improvement.
